The influence of yarn diameter and twist on the stiffness of the fabric: when the yarn diameter is thick and the twist is large, the bending stiffness of the yarn is larger, and the fabric is stiffer. But in fact, this way of weft is not equivalent to strands, the weft is only combined without twisting. Therefore, the fabric is not too stiff. The influence of the structure of the fabric on the stiffness of the fabric is mainly that the more weaving points in the fabric, the shorter the floating length, the greater the tangential sliding resistance between the warp and weft yarns, and the smaller the possibility of relative movement between the warp and weft yarns in the fabric. The stiffer it is; when the thickness of the fabric increases, the bending stiffness of the fabric also increases significantly. In addition, there are many factors that affect the stiffness.
